A Staged Singing to Benefit the Sherman Players
The Sherman Players are putting on a Staged Singing of Roy O'Neil's musical, "Save the Palace," by Roy O'Neil.
The Sherman Players continue our Centennial Celebration with a special fundraiser on August 21-23. We're putting on a Staged Singing of Roy O'Neil's musical, Save the Palace. It's a classic tale of aging rock 'n rollers on a mission to save an historic building (the Palace) and the corrupt politicians trying to tear it down.
This show has it all... politics, romance, and long lost hopes and dreams. It's musical comedy with a rock and roll beat. O'Neil's show won top honors at the Manhattan Theater Mission's New Musicals Showcase and the Midtown International Theatre Festival. Mary Ann Randazzo of OuterStage.com describes this show as "unquestionaby two hours of pure enjoyment" and Theresa Perkins of MyTheatre.com says it is "unabashedly fun and uplifting"!

Susanna Marker, Chris Marker, and Paul Mayer as the Aldermen doing the mayor's bidding and collecting some graft in the process.
And Melanie Fay appearing in so many roles you'll be dizzy.
Music Direction and Keyboards by Sarah Fay, with Clio Janis on guitar, Steve Anderson on bass, and Bob Kogut on drums.
It's three shows - Friday & Saturday Aug 21 & 22 at 8:00, Sunday Aug. 23 at 2:00! You'll be treated to a fun musical romp, and support a great cause... the Sherman Players! We're asking for donations for this show. Minimum ticket price is set at $20, but, well, you know, please do what you can!
