Naugatuck, CT - Naugatuck's Mayor N. Warren "Pete" Hess announced on WATR 1320AM during Wednesday's edition of Steve Noxon's Talk of the Town program that Capt. Steven Hunt has been chosen as the next Chief of Police in Naugatuck. The mayor told Mr. Noxon that there were three strong internal candidates for the position; one of the candidates subsequently dropped out, so the choice was made from the remaining two last evening. The mayor indicated that Hunt will take over the post on March 3, 2019.

Johnna Hunt, the wife of the new chief of police, posted the news on her Facebook page last evening.
