Teen Charged With Sexual Assault in Naugatuck

Naugatuck police say on August 19, a juvenile, who is under the age of 18, was arrested on an active warrant.

Police say the warrant was for a reported sexual assault that occurred in July.

Police say the juvenile allegedly had sexual intercourse with a female under the age of 14.

The juvenile was released to the custody of his mother and is charged with second-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor.

No other information or details were released by police because of the age of the individuals involved.
