Teen Fights with Naugatuck Walmart Employee, Verbally Threatens to Shoot Victim: Police

Naugatuck police say they responded to the store Tuesday evening for a reported assault.

NAUGATUCK, CT — A Waterbury man is accused of physically fighting with a Walmart store employee and then verbally threatening to come back to the store and shoot the victim, police said.

Police said they responded to Walmart at 8:21 p.m. Tuesday on an assault complaint.

The accused, Cameron Champlain, 18, of Cushman Street in Waterbury and the victim know each other and during an argument Champlain verbally threatened to come back to the store and shoot the victim, police said.

Both Champlain and the victim were involved in a physical altercation and both fell to the floor, police said.

Champlain is charged with second-degree assault, threatening and breach of peace.

He was given a $100,000 bond.
