Teen Killed In 2-Car Waterbury Wreck: Reports

A 19-year-old man is dead following an early Tuesday morning crash in Waterbury.

WATERBURY, CT — A Waterbury teen died in a motor vehicle crash that closed down part of Watertown Avenue on Tuesday morning, according to WTNH News-8. Police responded at 5:20 a.m. to a two-car wreck on Watertown Avenue.

Both of the drivers in the crash were transported to local hospitals. One driver was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, WTNH News-8 reported.

The other, a 19-year-old Waterbury man, was pronounced dead at the hospital a short time later. A parked, unoccupied vehicle was also hit and damaged in the crash, according to NBC CT.

Watertown Avenue was closed from Tomkins Street to Coniston Avenue as police investigated the wreck.
