The tour of the Tony® Award - winning Best Musical “The Wiz” has eased on down the road to The Bushnell in Hartford and performances continue through Sunday.

“The Wiz” is a clever adaptation of “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz” with a book by William F. Brown and music and lyrics by Charles Smalls. The show premiered at the Majestic Theatre 40 years ago and is said to have changed the face of Broadway. Audiences followed Dorothy’s journey to find her place in a contemporary world, accompanied by a score packed with gospel, soul, rock and 70s funk.
