On January 30, 2015 at about 2:05 AM Officers Pereira, Martnez and Pucci were dispatched to the intersection of Cherry and Spencer Street for a reported fight between two men in the roadwayβ¦.The caller added that a Black Thunderbird was also parked on Cherry Street that apparently belonged to one of the men involvedβ¦.

When the officers arrived they located a male subject getting into the driverβs seat of aforementioned black Ford Thunderbirdβ¦.(the plot thickenβsβ¦) β¦ The Officers asked the man to exit said vehicle and observed that he was bleeding from the lower lip (this my friends is how detectives are madeβ¦ super observant skills by our officers β¦. Yes Iβm Being sarcasticβ¦)β¦. Man stated that his car had broken down and he was looking for helpβ¦. When asked if he was with someone else he said βnoββ¦. β¦Man then stated that he had argued with his girlfriendβ¦. and she that she had walked awayβ¦ (Hmmmmβ¦Explains the possible altercationβ¦but what about the two menβ¦Lets get back top the story to see what happens next, shall weβ¦.)β¦.
A short time later a female approaches the officers β¦.and stated that she was in the vehicleβ¦. and that she just had to walk away because the man (said male the officers were talking withβ¦) was arguing with herβ¦..Officers observed that there were no indications that she had been in a physical altercationβ¦Officers then took a stab in the dark and asked the female who the male was fighting with she advised β¦. βit was some guy that was in the carββ¦ (Very descriptive answer β¦ and chock full of details that officers like when investigation these type incidentsβ¦.NOT!)β¦,The officers continued with the usual line of questioning and β¦she eventually provided a nameβ¦.Along with a little more color analysis such as βthe two males were arguingββ¦..Very helpful stuffβ¦.Female again advised that she walked away β¦.
Female further advised again that she was not involved in any altercationβ¦ The Officers located another male (he will now be known to us as Male2β¦) β¦walking on Spencer St. near Cherry β¦male2 had a laceration above his left eye β¦.and bruising throughout his face (enough to require immediate medical attention)β¦.Officers asked the original male (we will call him male1β¦) if he knew male2 β¦and he stated that βhe never seen him beforeββ¦..
When the same question was presented to male2,β¦.he gave a little different answerβ¦.he stated that he had been in the car with male1 and the female (if its okay with all of you, we wont give her a numberβ¦.as so far she is the only female involvedβ¦.) β¦while in the car, the two males β¦1 and 2 β¦.began fighting β¦. The fight then spilled out of the car β¦. And this is where male1 punched male2 in the faceβ¦..
With that information, male2 went to the hospitalβ¦male1 went to the B&B (Cinderblock View suiteβ¦but upgraded on check-in to βall most no graffiti on the bars suiteββ¦this has become popular suite as of lateβ¦ no idea whyβ¦. ) β¦.the female was sent home β¦.male-lessβ¦.
On January 31, 2015 at about 1:05 AM Officer Pucci was traveling west on Prospect Street when he saw a vehicle traveling east on Prospect Street without their headlights illuminatedβ¦.. (THATβ¦.is a clueβ¦.) β¦. Officer Pucci then observed the vehicle β still traveling towards him mind-youβ¦.cross the double yellow line with both driver side tiresβ¦. (THAT β¦.is ANOTHER clueβ¦.)β¦ Officer Pucci wisely slowed his vehicle and turned to the far right to avoid a collision with the on coming carβ¦..as the vehicle passed him he turned and stopped the vehicleβ¦
β¦Officer Pucci approached the vehicle spoke with the male operator and advised him why he had stopped his vehicleβ¦.. While speaking with the male operator officer Pucci advised he could smell the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his vehicleβ¦.(THATβ¦.is yet ANOTHER Clueβ¦) β¦Officer Pucci also observed that the driver had glossy eyesβ¦. (Man β he is just racking up the Clues hereβ¦.ANOTHER one!!)β¦. Officer Pucci asked the driver if he was drinking and he initially (β¦Always entertaining when we have to report βInitially statedβ β¦..No reason to put that if the story stays the sameβ¦..but Iβm guessing it didnβt!...) β¦. Where was Iβ¦.Oh yes β he βInitially statedβ he had βOne Beerββ¦. Ohhh β the ole βI had one beerβ¦.boy the oldies never get old do theyβ¦.. βOne Beerββ¦.Gotta love itβ¦..
When asked again, the driver stated now he had consumed βOne Beerβ and βone Scotchβ β¦. (Canβt help but think that if he had added βone bourbonβ to this he could very well have been talking to George Thorogoodβ¦)β¦ Officer Pucci requested the driver exit the vehicle for testing and upon doing soβ¦.he passed with flying colorsβ¦.Naaaawβ¦Just joking β he is after all in a Too Bad Segment!! β¦.he failed!!
The driver was provided with a set of shiny new cuff links to wear to his check in at the NPD B&B where he was checked into our βAlcohol Freeβ suite β¦. (they actually all are, but we donβt like to advertise that β¦hotel industry says its bad for businessβ¦.) β¦ No idea how he liked his stay though, he did not fill out the survey card β but he did report that he enjoyed eating the mint left under his pillowβ¦..we didnβt have the heart to tell him we didnβt leave mints under the pillowβ¦.
On 1/25/15 at about 4:03 PM Officer Kehoss was dispatched to The Naugatuck Motor Lodge, for a stolen vehicle complaintβ¦He spoke with the complainant who advised that she has been staying at the Motor Lodge for about the last three weeks with her boyfriend β¦.and that he uses her car dailyβ¦. She further advised that on this particular date, she asked him not to take her carβ¦.howeverβ¦ He took the car β¦.and her credit cardβ¦she advised that she noticed on her bank statement that he withdrew $20.00 from an ATM in Waterburyβ¦.and that she wanted to press charges against himβ¦.
β¦.In addition to the above reported capersβ¦.Officer Kehooss ran the boyfriends name through our magic computers β¦that spit out that the man had an active protective order issued against him, ordering that he must stay away from his girlfriendβ¦yes β THAT girlfriendβ¦the one he was staying with at the Motor Lodgeβ¦and the one whose car he used everydayβ¦..the same one whose car he now stoleβ¦along with her credit cardβ¦..(Do you see how the whole house of cards is now caving in on him?...) β¦.
While Officer Kehoss spoke with the female, the aforementioned (man β I love to use that word!) β¦.called her cell phone and told her he was coming back to the Motor Lodgeβ¦ Upon disconnecting with him, she advised Officer Kehoss that it sounded to her like he was βmessed upβ (β¦Thatβs secret code for βintoxicatedββ¦.) β¦Officer Kehoss then observed the male pull into the Motor Lodge parking lotβ¦in the females carβ¦and upon speaking with himβ¦determined that he was in fact intoxicatedβ¦.
Officer Kehoss then placed the man under arrestβ¦.and then pulled out his calculator to add up the charges against the manβ¦.which β if he does not commit any further crimes before this paragraph is completed β should be at least five violationsβ¦including:
- Larceny of MV (Checkβ¦)
- Larceny of a credit card
- Larceny of $20.00
- Violation of a Protective Order
- Driving while not sober (AKA: Driving While Impaired)
Subsequently the man was checked out of the Naugatuck Motor Lodge β¦and checked into the Naugatuck PD Bed and Breakfastβ¦Where he was shown to βThe Honeymoon is Overβ Suiteβ¦.
Well, Thatβs all I have for you todayβ¦.Itβs been fun β hope you all have great Thursday evening β¦we will be here if you need usβ¦.β
