"Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR) is an annual observance on November 20 that honors the memory of the transgender people whose lives were lost in acts of anti-transgender violence."
Social distancing and masks are required!
The event will take place in two sections:
- Celebration of Life 1pm - 4:30pm Purpose: To bring everyone together during these uncertain and isolating times, and to honor the Trans folx in our own community by reminding everyone that they will always have a safe place in our community to exist authentically as themselves.There will be informational materials and resources for LGBTQIA+ folx and allies alike. There will also be speakers and a fundraiser raffle! Please bring hats, gloves, scarves, etc. to donate!
- Vigil 5pm - 6:30pm Purpose: To remember and honor those lives lost this past year and to remind everyone that their life mattered and still matters.The event will begin with speakers followed by a candlelit vigil and moment of silence to honor and respect those lives lost.
