United Way of Naugatuck and Beacon Falls Begins Fundraising Campaign
The campaign started at an event Thursday where all the organizations seeking funding were present.

The United Way of Naugatuck and Beacon Falls kicked off their 2014 fundraising campaign Thursday night, the Republican-American reports.
More than 150 people attended the event at the Crystal Room, the paper reports. All 14 organizations that the agency funds has informational booths at the event.
Campaign Chairman Allan Monteiro announced at the event that the fundraising goal would remain the same as last year at $440,000.

According to the paper, the agency was successful in achieving its goal last year and is confident of attaining it this year as well. 23 percent of the campaign goal had already been raised through a golf tournament and through pace-setter organizations.
