An update from Bryan:

As many of you likely already know, I’ve relocated from our Connecticut headquarters to South Dakota in order to manage the construction and launch of our new, first-of-its-kind, children’s village here on the Cheyenne River Reservation.

Our staff, teams of advisors, and subcontractors are hard at work every day building the three components of the village:

  1. constructing the village,
  2. creating the operational infrastructure,
  3. most importantly, hiring the staff that will dedicate themselves to providing bright futures for Native children in foster care.

The days are full and challenging, as we build something that is both desperately needed and that has never been done before in Indian Country. But thanks to your incredible support, generosity, and confidence, we’re making great progress. When all three components of the Village are completed, we’ll open our doors and officially launch the new Simply Smiles Children’s Village.

We still have a lot of work ahead of us. But the children who will come to live here need and deserve the very best. And that’s just what we’re committed to building for them.

Stay tuned and keep following our social media for ongoing updates.

With my deepest thanks

Underway is the construction of foster home #3, the therapy & office space, the garage & warehouse, as well as site landscaping, as seen in this architectural rendering.
