Vehicle Catches Fire After 2-Car Crash In Naugatuck: Police
Police said a road in Naugatuck was closed for two hours after a vehicle caught fire following a two-car crash.

NAUGATUCK, CT — A road in Naugatuck was closed for two hours Thursday night after a vehicle caught fire following a two-car crash, according to police.
In a news release, police said the two-car collision was reported around 9:45 p.m. near a deli on Prospect Street.
Police, fire and EMS crews were called to the area and found both drivers had sustained injuries.

The drivers were taken to nearby hospitals for evaluation, according to police.
Prospect Street was closed between Union Street and Picture Lane for roughly two hours while emergency crews worked and Connecticut Department of Transportation employees sanded the roadway, police said.

Prospect Street has since been reopened, according to police.
