Veteran Naugatuck Police Officer Promoted To Sergeant

NAUGATUCK, CT — Veteran Naugatuck Police Officer Steven Fortin was promoted to the rank of Sergeant earlier this week, the Naugatuck Force announced.

Naugatuck Mayor Pete Hess did the honors during a ceremony on Monday.

Sgt. Fortin joined the department in 2015, and is currently is a member of the Honor Guard, and is a field training officer and instructor.

Additionally, Fortin is an adviser to the Naugatuck Police Cadets, which is a program for young adults 14 to 21 years old who have an interest in law enforcement.
