Victim Identified In Fatal Naugatuck Accident: UPDATE
Police are investigating the fatal accident from early Sunday.

NAUGATUCK, CT — Police say a 27-year-old Naugatuck woman was the victim killed in a single motor vehicle collision on May Street around 1 a.m. Sunday.
At 12:50 a.m. Naugatuck Police responded to a single motor vehicle collision in the area of 994 May Street. The Naugatuck Valley Collision Investigation Team, consisting of officers from the Naugatuck, Cheshire, Middlebury, Watertown and Wolcott Police Departments were called to investigate the crash.
Investigators determined that the vehicle was operated by Brittany Schuld, 27, of Naugatuck who was the only occupant of the vehicle, police said.

Investigators further determined that the vehicle was traveling westbound in the area of 994 May Street when her vehicle left the right shoulder of the roadway colliding with a utility pole, police said. Schuld was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision from injuries sustained in the crash, police said.
The Naugatuck Valley Accident Reconstruction Unit is requesting anyone that may have witnessed the collision to contact the Naugatuck PD at 203-729-5222.
