Victim Injured During Assault: Naugatuck Police
The accused was released on a $10,000 bond.

NAUGATUCK, CT β A Naugatuck man is accused of injuring a man during an assault, police said. At 5 p.m. Monday, Sergio Mouta, 43, of Troutbrook Drive, turned himself in on an active arrest warrant, police said. The warrant was for a domestic disturbance reported on Nov. 21.
During an argument Mouta struck the victim multiple times, police said. The victim sustained a swollen eye and a cut on his face, police said. The accused was given a court date and was released on a $10,000 non-surety bond.
He is charged with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct.
