Walmart Donates Money To Help Purchase Playground Equipment

The funds will help a Naugatuck elementary school acquire playground equipment.

NAUGATUCK, CT — Walmart is planning to donate $3,750 to Hop Brook Elementary School for the purchase of new playground equipment, school officials said.

School officials shared the news at their Dec. 12 Board of Education meeting.

1. Little Scientists of Milford, CT, has offered to provide 40 in-class, hands-on science field trips to Naugatuck Public Schools, worth about $7,000. Twenty field trips would be held at Western
Elementary School and twenty would be held at Cross Street and Hillside Intermediate Schools.
SurfCT of Naugatuck provided the funding to Little Scientists so that they could offer this
opportunity to our students.
