Waterbury Arts Magnet School shared two pieces of exciting theatre news in their most recent newsletter.

Congratulations to WAMS senior Christopher Briney and junior Shannaya Rodriguez for being accepted and participating in the highly acclaimed Center of Creative Youth.
The five week intensive program is held at Wesleyan University. Both students participated in the intensive Theatre performance division of the program. Their work won them praise from professional theatre artists from around the country. They both represented WAMS with true professionalism and dedication to the performing arts.
WAMS is proud to announce their continued collaboration with Shakesperience Productions LLC, a professional theatre organization located on Bank St. in Waterbury. Shakesperience is remounting the full production of βRADIUM GIRLSβ on September 25th at 7pm; September 26th at 2pm & 7pm; and Sunday Sept. 27th 22pm. (203-754-2531 for ticket information)

The show will feature theatre artists from the WAMS community: Jayde Blanchette will play the lead role of Grace; Emma Lewis takes on multiple roles as Irene/Wiley/Harriet; Gianna Viele plays Sob Sister; Chris Briney plays Tom/Berry/Bailey; and WAMS Theatre teacher Mrs. Nina Agostine Smith reprises her roles as Mrs. MacNeil/Mrs. Roeder/Society Woman/Mrs. Michaels.
