Exciting news! Mister Wonderland, the documentary on CT theater magnate and original impresario of the Palace Theater, Sylvester Poli will air this Saturday, January 16 on CPTV at 8pm.
Mister Wonderland recounts the extraordinary story of Sylvester Z. Poli, an artisan of humble means who left his hometown in the Tuscan countryside for the United States at the end of the 19th century, only to become one of the greatest theatrical impresarios of his time. As the owner of more than 30 theaters (including the Palace Theater) in Connecticut and across the northeast, his name became a guiding light for an entire generation of performers and spectators.
