Waterbury ARC Announces Cancellation of 2020 Event
WARC volunteers look forward to welcoming guests back in 2021.

WATERBURY, CT – Due to current circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, the Waterbury ARC (WARC) Annual Wine and Beer-Tasting Fundraiser and Auction, originally scheduled for June 3, 2020 and then later postponed to Sept. 9, 2020, has unfortunately been cancelled entirely for this year. The new date is Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at the Grand Oak Villa in Watertown. Any tickets already purchased will immediately be refunded.
Diamond Sponsor Post University, in conjunction with several other local businesses, will present The Waterbury ARC’s Fundraiser and Auction from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. at the Grand Oak Villa Banquet Facility, 550 Sylvan Lake Road in Watertown, on Wednesday, June 2, 2021.
Platinum underwriters are Grady & Riley, LLP Attorneys at Law, and Thomaston Savings Bank, with Gold-Level benefactors Carmody, Torrance, Sandak, & Hennessey, LLP; Noujaim Tool Co., Inc.; St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation; TD Bank; Shaker Automotive Group; Ion Bank, and Webster Bank. A matching challenge grant from the Connecticut Community Foundation will also be in effect: the Foundation will match donations raised throughout the night up to $1,000!

WARC volunteers look forward to welcoming guests back in 2021. In addition to the wine and beer-tasting, the Fundraiser features hearty appetizers and desserts; a cash bar; silent and live auctions, and raffles. Raffle and Auction donors have generously agreed in advance to support the 2021 Fundraiser, which will showcase a large assortment of prizes suited to all tastes. A unique and exciting jewelry experience will be offered through Onyx II Jewelers of Watertown.
The mission of the Waterbury ARC is to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental challenges to live, learn, work, and participate in their communities. Monies raised from the Annual Wine and Beer-Tastings are earmarked for client services, including improvements to the WARC building, located on East Main Street in Waterbury; programming; day trips, and more. The Waterbury ARC serves clients from Waterbury and 12 surrounding cities and towns.

Reserved-seating tickets are $35 per person, or $315 for a table of 10. More information will follow for next year’s event. Tickets are not sold at the door.
