Waterbury Police Nab New York Murder Suspect: PD

The suspect is facing a local charge of interfering with an officer, according to police.

WATERBURY, CT — A man wanted in connection with a New York homicide was captured by city police earlier this month, police said.

Waterbury officers assigned to the U. S. Marshals Service and the Emergency Regional Response Team executed a search warrant and made the arrest on March 13.

Malik Williams, 27, is the subject of an active arrest warrant out of New York for second-degree murder, police said.

Williams was also charged with interfering with an officer due to his conduct during the apprehension, according to police.

Williams is being held on a $2 million bond, and as of Tuesday, he was in Connecticut Department of Correction custody, with a court date of April 15.
