Waterbury Police Probe Report Of Weapon Displayed In Bakery Parking Lot

WATERBURY, CT — Police are investigating after an employee at the Brooklyn Baking Company reported someone displayed a gun at him in the business’ parking lot.

The incident happened Saturday outside the business, which is at 464 Reidville Dr.

Waterbury Police Sgt. Joseph Morais said on Tuesday police believe it was an isolated road rage incident.

No weapon was fired, and no one was injured, according to Morais.

As of Tuesday, no one has been arrested, and the incident remains under investigation.

“We are trying to form leads,” Morais said.

In a Facebook post, the business wrote it “was a scary day for all of us at the bakery.”

“Our first priority was making sure our employee was safe, and we’re glad to say they are okay,” the post said. “We also want to thank the officers who responded within minutes and worked quickly to handle the situation.”

The business’ management also thanked customers who have reached out to check in and show support.
