WCSU’s ‘Holiday Pops’ is a Festive Event Open to the Public

DANBURY, Connecticut — Western Connecticut State University’s Department of Music will host two days of holiday music on Saturday, Dec. 9, and Sunday, Dec. 10, at 3 p.m., in the Veronica Hagman Concert Hall within the university’s Visual and Performing Arts Center (VPAC), 43 Lake Ave. Extension in Danbury. Tickets can be purchased at wcsuvpac.eventbrite.com.

Holiday Pops, a festive event to help get everyone in the holiday spirit, features performances by the WCSU Percussion Ensemble, University Choir, Chamber Ensembles, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble and more. After the show, holiday-themed treats and art designed and created by students in the university’s Department of Art will be available for sale (cash and check only). Proceeds from the Holiday Pops concerts benefit the Ana Grace Marquez Greene and Dave Smith Scholarships for WCSU music majors. Tickets are $15 plus fees online and $25 at the door.
