WCSU’s online ABA named a top online master’s program by Forbes

DANBURY, CONN. — The Applied Behavior Analysis program at Western Connecticut State University was ranked one of nine Best Master’s in ABA Online Degrees of 2023 in a recent report released by Forbes. The report, published online on Sept. 6, 2023, indicated the primary reasons why WCSU’s ABA program was selected:

“Headquartered in Danbury, Western Connecticut State University offers several online programs, including a Master of Science degree in applied behavior analysis. The 30-credit curriculum delves into unique areas like grant writing and relevant technology,” the Forbes report stated. “It concludes with a capstone project in which students synthesize what they’ve learned to perform research or solve a problem in the field. WCSU’s program offers the verified course sequence laid out by the Association for Behavior Analysis International, preparing graduates for the Board Certified Behavior Analyst examination.”

The Applied Behavioral Analysis Programs Guide named WCSU No. 1 on both its Top 15 Best Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Programs Online 2023 and its list of the 40 Best ABA Certification Online Graduate Programs.

EduMed.org also released ranking results this month that listed WCSU’s program as No. 1 on its list of The Best Online ABA Graduate Certificate Programs for 2024. Collegefactual.com named WCSU No. 1 in Connecticut and No. 5 in New England on its list of 2024 Best Applied Behavior Analysis Schools in the New England Region.
Dr. Stephanie Kuhn, graduate coordinator of WCSU’s Applied Behavior Analysis program, said, “I am proud of this recognition and feel it reflects the hard work the university, faculty and students have put into the program. The ABA program faculty have worked collaboratively and consistently to continue to deliver a high-quality online program for our students.”

Dean of the School of Professional Studies Dr. Joan Palladino agreed. “The success of the ABA graduate program reflects the commitment and expertise of the faculty. The ABA program faculty collaborates to provide quality online education that prepares students to take the certification exam. This is not the first time WCSU’s ABA program has been recognized.
