As we approach a significant milestone in our university's calendar, I am filled with immense pride and gratitude for the unwavering support and affection you have all shown toward our much-loved institution. Over the years, your contributions, both big and small, have played a pivotal role in shaping the vibrant, inclusive, and intellectually stimulating environment we cherish today at WCSU.

Today, we are launching a special initiative that marks a historic moment for our university - our first Giving Day. This day is more than just a call for financial support; it is a celebration of our collective spirit, our shared values, and our commitment to the future of every student who walks through our doors. I am asking all faculty and staff to please come by and participate in the festivities even if it is just for a few minutes. I will be at all events along with leadership and I ask my colleagues in all departments to please join me in this wonderful day. Please find a schedule of events below.

EVENTS
9 – 11 a.m. Campus Kick Off Celebration Berkshire Hall
Audience: Faculty/Staff/Board Members/Sponsors/Danbury Community
Bagels and Breakfast Bites will be served
Wolf Spirit Challenge: wear your favorite wolf gear and participate as an individual or department/office
Prize: $200 for your favorite fund (+ pizza party for 8)
Challenge Game: Management vs. Faculty/Staff

noon – 2 p.m. Wolf Games Berkshire Hall
Audience: Students
Refreshments/snacks will be served

Audience: Faculty/Staff/Board Members/Sponsors/Danbury Community
Apps and mini desserts will be served

Howling Karaoke: All levels of ability invited to participate

8 – 10 p.m. Music Bingo Westside Ballroom
Audience: Students

Additional Student Activity Throughout the Day
Thank you cards for WDG Donors – Students will have an opportunity to write thank you notes to our WDG donors throughout the day. Participants will earn additional raffle tickets for writing thank you cards and sharing WDG on Social Media.
9 – 11 a.m. and noon – 2 p.m. Berkshire Hall, Midtown
8 – 10 p.m. Campus Center Ballroom, Westside
Refreshments will be served.
Stickers/pens/chapsticks and other giveaways.

All attendees at WDG events will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win one of three Grand Prizes below. Each event will offer chances for additional tickets by taking part in a game or challenge, donating, or sharing #Wolvesdayofgiving and tagging your favorite WDG fund on social media.

GRAND PRIZES
First Prize: $1,000 to your WDG Fund of choice. Wolves pride swag and goodies basket.
Second Prize: $700 to your WDG Fund of choice. Wolves pride swag and goodies basket.
First Prize: $300 to your WDG Fund of choice. Wolves pride swag and goodies basket.
Grand Prize winners will be chosen from all entries at close of WDG.
Winners will be contacted and announced on Friday, February 23, 2024.
