Wedding Announcement: Lauren Marques Weds Nick St. Germain

Middlefield, CT - Lauren Marques and Nick St. Germain were married on Saturday outdoors at The Lyman Orchards Golf Club in Middlefield.

The new Mrs. Germain is the daughter of Julio Marques and the late MaryEllen Marques, a beloved kindergarten teacher in the Naugatuck Public School district. Lauren followed in her later mother’s footsteps and is currently an elementary teacher. She is also a former first grade student of Naugatuck/Bethwood Patch Mayor Nancy Sasso Janis.

The bride was attended by her young daughter Ella. Her sister-in-law, Shana Marques, was one of seven bridesmaids, who all wore beige floor-length gowns with different bodice styles. The bride’s brother, Christopher Marques, was also in the wedding party wearing gray formalwear. The ladies carried bouquets that contained off-white roses and off-white rose petals marked the aisle.

Mrs. Marques was stunning in a fit and flair floor-length gown that was overlaid with lace. The wedding gown featured off the shoulder straps and a small train.

The couple were married on an open area of the golf course, under a wooden structure adorned with white flowers and greenery. The reception was held under a large white tent.
