Whittemore Library is proud to be "Your Community Connection".
We offer ongoing and special events and programs to educate, inform, and entertain local residents of all ages with discussion clubs, concerts, authors, crafting, story times, gaming, career assistance, classes, and so much more.

SNAP assistance

Know someone who could benefit from SNAP (formerly known as 'food stamps') but isn't sure if they qualify or how to apply? No worries - John Potusek of StayWell Health Center is back in to answer your questions one-on-one and help you submit an application. First come, first served. All consultations are free and confidential.

Drive-In Movie for Kids

Kids aged 3 - 9 are invited to our first drive-in movie show. First, transform a cardboard box into your dream car, then motor in to the parking lot. All materials provided. Refreshments too!

Bee Playful

Whittemore will spotlight a different Connecticut-based hardworking, innovative, and creative business, professional, or artisan each month. You'll have an opportunity to reach members of the community by: Making a presentation; Leaving brochures, coupons, or information about your line of work; Putting items on display; and/or Setting up a trade-show style table.
