Welcome to Naugatuck Patch
A new database of news and information for the state's only consolidated town and borough.
Thanks for taking a moment to drop by Naugatuck's newest kid in town: the Naugatuck Patch.
The Naugatuck Patch is a hyper-local news and information website, dedicated to bringing up-to-date coverage of all things pertaining to the borough. I, Ronald DeRosa, am the local editor to for the site. I am a professional journalist, having graduated St. Michael's College with a minor in journalism and having spent two years as a reporter at The Register Citizen newspaper in Torrington.
Most importantly, I love local news and I love writing stories. I want this site not to be just about what news myself and my team can deliver, but what you all want to read about and find out.

The Naugatuck Patch also features a calendar of events, located in the lower right-hand corner of the home page. Events range from anything sponsored by the Naugatuck Historical Society to high school sports games to town meetings. Got a new event you want publicized? Don't hesitate to click the "Add Your Own Event" icon just above the calendar.

The site also has an announcement system, where any resident can post something they want to announce to the community. This ranges from a volunteer notice to a wedding and birth announcements.
Above all I want to offer Naugatuck a database. I want this to be a voice for the community and a place where people can share ideas, get information and read about what goes on. I love local news and that is what I plan on delivering the most to all of you.
Feel free to contact me any time through e-mail at ronald.derosa@patch.com or on my cell phone at 203-605-3213.
See you around town.
