Western Connecticut State University Holds Orientation for New Students
Members of the incoming class of 2020 spent the day on campus for orientation.
Students that will be members of Western Connecticut State University's Class of 2020 headed to the downtown campus on Monday for orientation. They spent the day taking care of university business and then in the evening took part in activities designed for them to interact with their future classmates.
Many of the young people who will be part of the School of Visual and Performing Arts attended the first of three overnight orientation sessions offered to incoming students and rode a shuttle bus together to the new campus to meet with the faculty with whom they will work.
Parents were invited to attend campus tours, parent workshops University 101, Financial Aid and Building Academic Success. At the end of the day, some students stayed overnight in a dorm. Parents were invited to a Happy Hour with WCSU President Clark and senior staff and faculty at three nearby restaurants.
