Western School's Favorite Book Character Dress Up Day

Western Elementary School celebrated reading with a Dress As Your Favorite Character Day on Friday.

Western School Loves to Read

On Friday January 16, 2015 the children and staff at Western Elementary School were invited to dress as a favorite storybook character.

The costumes included Jack and Annie from the Magic Tree House books, characters from the book Frozen, Little Red Riding Hood and other fairy tales, Vankllope from the Wreckit Ralph, Harry Potter, Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz, Tom Sawyer, and George Washington to name a few. Even Western’s principal Brenda Goodrich came to school dressed as Fancy Nancy.

The children were encouraged to bring the book of their character, and during the day faculty and staff read many of the children’s favorites. It was a wonderful day at Western full of excitement and fun.
