Westport Country Playhouse Introduces the Playhouse Mobile Unit

Make way for the Playhouse Mobile Unit

Westport Country Playhouse is thrilled to introduce you to their newest initiative, the Playhouse Mobile Unit — bringing live theater to you.

The Mobile Unit is part of their goal to build sustainable and lasting relationships with surrounding communities and historically underserved audiences, through the art of live theater.

They aim to provide authentic theatrical experiences in familiar and trusted environments — schools, parks, community centers, or anywhere we gather together. They will bring a fully-staged play directly to you — all you need is an audience.

The first production, Scaredy Kat Presents by Janine Sobeck Knighton, is designed for kids in grades 5 through 9, but is sure to entertain audiences of all ages as well as foster a better understanding of social/emotional wellness. The show is on tour beginning in January 2023, and there are several dates still available for booking.

Scaredy Kat Presents is a 45-minute, fully-staged production with professional set, costumes, and special effects, recommended for grades 5 through 9. The tour begins January 2023 and will resonate with young audiences as it captures the joys and struggles of adolescence.
