Woman Charged with Heroin Possession in Naugatuck

Naugatuck police said they initially responded to a suspicious vehicle complaint.

On Nov. 13 at 1:47 p.m. police say they responded to Willow Lane for a suspicious vehicle complaint.

During the investigation, Hope Verdecchia, 23, of Queen Street in Bristol, was allegedly found in possession of 4.7 grams of heroin and a syringe, police said.

When she was placed under arrest, she allegedly tried to pull away from officers, police said.

Verdechhia was charged with possession of a controlled substance and interfering with an officer. She was released after posting $5,000 bond.
