Woman Finds Wallet, Takes $200: Naugatuck Police

Police said the victim left the wallet behind at a local business.

NAUGATUCK, CT — A wallet was left behind in a Naugatuck business and police say Theresa Moriarty, 60, of Scott Street, allegedly stole $200, police said.

Police said Moriarty was arrested on a warrant last for a larceny complaint made on July 14. Moriarty found the victim's wallet which was left behind at a local business, police said. She is accused of stealing $200 that was left inside the wallet, police said.

She is charged with sixth-degree larceny and released on a $500 non-surety bond and given a court date of March 8.
