2 Homes Burglarized, Vehicle Stolen In New Canaan: Police

Both homes had bedroom closets and drawers rummaged through, according to police.

NEW CANAAN, CT — Two homes on Oenoke Ridge in New Canaan were burglarized and a vehicle parked in town was reported stolen last week, according to police.

In a news release, Chief of Police Leon Krolikowski said one of the burglaries was reported Friday around 2 p.m. when a housekeeper arrived to clean a home and discovered a window in back had been smashed. The home's alarm system was not activated.

A second burglary was reported Monday around 1:30 p.m. after a homeowner returned home and discovered a window in back had been smashed. That home's alarm system also was not activated, Krolikowski said.

Both homes had bedroom closets and drawers rummaged through, Krolikowski said.

In addition to these two burglaries, a Gower Road resident reported a 2021 Land Rover Range Rover stolen from their driveway. According to the owner, the car was locked and the keys were not inside the vehicle, Krolikowski said.
