2 Teens Charged With Stealing Phones At New Canaan High: Report

Police said two Norwalk teenagers are charged with allegedly stealing iPhones at a New Canaan High School sporting event.

NORWALK, CT — Police said two Norwalk teenagers are charged with stealing iPhones at a New Canaan High School sporting event, the Norwalk Hour reported. The phones were allegedly stolen from backpacks that had been left in the school's gym lobby, police said.

According to the Hour, police said officers were called to the gym around 7:50 p.m. on Feb. 2. The devices were reported stolen from two separate backpacks while multiple sporting events were going on, police said.

Police said two suspects were identified after officers reviewed video surveillance footage, according to the Hour. A 16-year-old Norwalk boy was subsequently accused of stealing an iPhone 8, while a 17-year-old Norwalk boy was accused of stealing an iPhone 6.
