2 Vehicles Stolen From Businesses In New Canaan: Police

NEW CANAAN, CT — Two vehicles were reported stolen from two separate businesses in New Canaan within two days, according to the New Canaan Police Department.

In a Facebook post Saturday, police said the vehicles were stolen from a Mobil gas station and an ACME grocery store.

According to police, both vehicles were left unlocked and running.

The department reminds New Canaan residents to always turn off their vehicle, lock it and bring their keys with them, even if they are making a quick stop.

"This is a reminder that vehicles are being stolen during the day and from public places," police wrote on Facebook. "Never engage with these criminals and contact police immediately. Help us prevent more vehicle thefts from occurring in 2026."
