2018 New Canaan Civilian Police Academy Accepting Applications

From the New Canaan Police Department: Increase your knowledge of the work that we do and let us build a lasting relationship with you. Topics may include: Traffic Enforcement, Criminal Investigation, Patrol Procedure, Crime Scene, Drug & DUI Enforcement, Domestic Violence, Use of Force, Firearms, K-9 Demonstration, Youth Interaction, Internal Affairs, Department Logistics, Animal Control and more…

Classes are to be held 6pm-9pm every Thursday starting October 11 th and concluding on December 13th.
Those that are selected are expected to make every effort to attend all nine classes. Applicants must be 18
years of age to apply, and preference will be given to New Canaan residents.
