3 Juveniles Arrested After Stolen BMW From New Canaan Located In Southbury
State Police said one other juvenile fled on foot and has not yet been apprehended.

SOUTHBURY, CT — A 2017 BMW stolen out of New Canaan was located in Southbury leading to the arrest of three juveniles, State Police said. One other juvenile fled on foot and has not yet been located.
At 12:30 a.m. Saturday troopers from Troop A-Southbury and officers from the Southbury Police Department were dispatched to the area of Woods Way Road in Southbury to attempt to locate a reported stolen motor vehicle believed to be in the area, State Police said.
The New Canaan Police Department contacted Troop A requesting assistance in locating the vehicle reported stolen from their town on Oct. 19 after they received information that the vehicle, a 2017 BMW, was in the area of Woods Way Rd.

Troopers and officers searched the area and located the stolen BMW on Beacon Hill Road, State Police said. The BMW was stopped and two juveniles were immediately taken into custody. Two additional juveniles ran from the vehicle into the nearby woods, State Police said.
Troopers, Southbury Police Officers and State Police K9 teams searched the area and the woods for the two juveniles that ran from the stolen BMW. One of the two juveniles that ran from the scene was later apprehended by a State Police K9 and taken into custody, State Police said.

The three juveniles, ages 15, 16 and 17, were transported to Troop A where they were charged with Motor Vehicle Theft, Larceny 6th Degree, and Interfering with an Officer. The juveniles were released to the custody of their parents and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Juvenile Court on November 2, 2017.
