4 Baby Possums Saved from Dying Mother in New Canaan

The animals were discovered in a driveway on East Cross Road.

NEW CANAAN, CT - Four baby possums were rescued Thursday after their dying mother, to whom the babies were clinging, was discarded on East Cross Road.

New Canaanite.com's Michael Dinan reports that resident Amedee Maggard called local animal control and Wildlife in Crisis after spotting the animals in her driveway. When she and officials returned to the scene, someone had thrown the animals into a tree.

More than four baby possums were originally discovered, but only four survived.
