“[Future 5] helps guide them along the path to college or a professional trade school by providing the knowledge and tools that instill confidence, a structured support system and the networking connections that they need to succeed,” Clif McFeely, Founder, Future 5
New Canaan, CT, May 8, 2013– The Kiwanis Club of New Canaan (http://www.newcanaankiwanis.org) recently hosted Clif McFeely, the founder of FUTURE 5, at their regular luncheon meeting at the Roger Sherman Inn.
Based in Stamford, FUTURE 5, a division of DOMUS, provides mentoring and educational support to low-income high school students. Motivated high school juniors and seniors join the program in the interest of taking steps to improve their futures in both academic and career pursuits.
According to Mr. McFeely, “With the help of volunteer “coaches”, FUTURE 5 helps teenagers make the connection between their current high school experience and educational or professional goals. The program helps guide them along the path to college or a professional trade school by providing the knowledge and tools that instill confidence, a structured support system and the networking connections that they need to succeed.”
