$6.2m New Canaan Athletic Facility Upgrades Approved
A large chunk of the costs will be supplied by private donors.
NEW CANAAN, CT — The Town Council approved four athletic facility upgrade projects worth $6.2 million at its meeting.
A new track infield at the high school and track facility upgrades were one project, according to the New Canaan Advertiser. Also approved was a replacement artificial turf at Water Tower Field, new artificial turf next to Water Tower Field and upgrades at Mellick and Gamble youth baseball fields.
Donors will supply 42 percent of the funding for the projects.
