600+ Residents on Commuter Parking Waitlist
Officials said it justifies installing tiered parking.
NEW CANAAN, CT — There are 641 people on the commuter parking permit wait list, according to a recent analysis by the New Canaan Parking Bureau.
About half the list was purged after a letter was sent to each person on the list requiring a $10 deposit, according to the New Canaan Advertiser.
Officials said that it would take about eight-and-a-half years for all people on the list to get a spot at the Lumberyard Lot, which justifies tiered parking at the Locust Lot and Lumberyard Lot.
