NEW CANAAN, CT — New Canaan's free Waveny Summer Concerts are scheduled to start this week, featuring an exciting lineup of musicians for 2026.
According to a news release provided by the town, the free summer concert series is one of the most popular annual programs in New Canaan that brings the community together Wednesdays from June through September.
This year's 12-week concert series kicks off June 17 with Kenn Morr's folk rock, according to the town.
Shows run Wednesday evenings from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., and rain dates for concerts are Thursdays, according to the town.
The live musical performances run through Sept. 2 with genres ranging from folk, pop and rock to country and big band, according to the town.
Held on the lawn behind Waveny House, residents and guests are invited to gather with their chairs, blankets and picnics to enjoy the music.
The summer-long concert schedule, along with any day-of-event notices regarding postponements due to weather, is available on the town website.
The summer concerts are a program of the Town of New Canaan Recreation Department and is supported by area companies and organizations, town officials noted.
