NEW CANAAN, CT — The New Canaan Board of Selectmen is scheduled to consider a number of purchase order requests during an upcoming meeting scheduled for Tuesday morning.
According to an agenda available on the town website, the regular hybrid meeting will take place at 8:30 a.m. in the Town Hall Meeting Room.
During the meeting, selectmen will consider a Department of Public Works request for blanket purchase orders in the amount of $1,190,890.63 for various vendors for goods and services, including repairs, according to the agenda.
The board also is scheduled to consider various FY27 purchase orders requested by DPW ranging from $15,000 to $50,000, according to the agenda.
Selectmen are scheduled to consider a request from the New Canaan Police Department to purchase portable radios and associated communication equipment from NORCOM for $12,368.39, as well as a request to encumber funds up to $52,500 for the purchase and outfitting of a used utility van to support the operational needs of the department's special response team, according to the agenda.
The board is also scheduled to consider a request from the New Canaan Fire Department for various FY27 purchase orders, with categories including apparatus, dispatch, equipment, physical exams, technology and uniforms, according to the agenda.
Also listed on the agenda is a request from the Highway Department for various FY27 purchase orders, including auto parts, road and shop supplies, road signs and supplies, asphalt, tires for fleet, drainage supplies, oil for town fleet and cemetery maintenance.
The Finance Department is also scheduled to seek approval of a request for various blanket purchase orders connected to health and wellness services at New Canaan Country School and St. Luke's School, as well as transportation at New Canaan Country School, according to the agenda.
Public comment is listed near the beginning of the agenda, during which members of the public may comment on topics scheduled for review or vote.
