NEW CANAAN, CT — New Canaan reminds all commuter parking permit holders that the deadline to renew permits for the upcoming permit year is Aug. 31.
According to the town website, the new permit year for the Lumberyard, Richmond Hill and Talmadge Hill commuter parking lots runs from Sept. 1, 2026, through Aug. 31, 2027.
Renewal letters and emails have been sent to all active commuter permit holders, according to the town.
Anyone who currently holds a permit and has not received their renewal information is asked to contact the town Parking Department at parkingpermits@newcanaanct.gov.
Permits not renewed by Aug. 31, 2026, will be assessed a $50 late fee if renewed during the month of September, according to the town.
Permits that are not renewed by Sept. 30, 2026, may be forfeited and made available to applicants on the waiting list, according to the town.
