She will succeed Sean O'Keefe, who retired from the district in June, according to the district.

Diotte will oversee the school system's fiscal operations, including district-level purchasing, budgeting, financial reporting, grant administration and contracts, while providing oversight of other district operational functions, according to the district.

"We are thrilled to welcome Kasey to the New Canaan Public School District," Superintendent of Schools Bryan Luizzi said in a news release. "Kasey brings extensive experience in school finance and operations, a collaborative leadership style, and a deep understanding of educational governance. Her ability to align sound financial stewardship with the needs of our schools will help ensure we continue providing exceptional opportunities for our students while responsibly managing district resources."

Prior to joining NCPS, Diotte served as director of business and operations for Brookfield Public Schools, where she led the development and administration of the district's operating budget while overseeing business services, facilities, technology, transportation, food services and grants, according to the district.

Before that, Diotte served as director of finance and operations at Mizzentop Day School, where she was responsible for the school's financial management, long-range planning, payroll, purchasing and business operations, according to the district.

Diotte also served for eight years as an elected member of the Sherman Board of Education, holding leadership roles including chair, vice chair/secretary, budget chair, policy chair and maintenance committee chair, according to the district.

Diotte holds a master of arts in elementary education from the University of Bridgeport and a bachelor of business administration in finance from Western Connecticut State University.

"Thank you to the members of our interview committee who participated in this search," Luizzi said in a news release. "Their commitment and perspectives were instrumental in identifying a candidate whose experience and leadership align with the needs of our district. We appreciate the thoughtful contributions of everyone involved and look forward to welcoming Kasey to the New Canaan Public Schools leadership team."
