NEW CANAAN, CT — The New Canaan Police Commission is scheduled to consider several public safety items during a regular meeting scheduled for Wednesday evening.
According to a meeting agenda available on the town website, the hybrid meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. at the New Canaan Police Department, located at 174 South Avenue.
Among the items listed on the agenda, the commission is scheduled to consider designating Putnam Road as a school zone.
The item is listed on the agenda under topics for discussion and is scheduled for a vote.
The commission is also scheduled to discuss and vote on a road closure request for an upcoming event, according to the agenda.
Another item scheduled for discussion and a vote involves invoices and employee reimbursements for uniforms, clothing and equipment, according to the agenda.
The commission is also scheduled to review minutes from previous meetings on July 15 and Aug. 21, as well as monthly reports, according to the agenda.
An executive session is also listed on the agenda for hiring interviews for the position of entry-level police officer, according to the agenda.
