New Canaan To Hold Emergency Preparedness Panel Discussion

NEW CANAAN, CT — New Canaan residents are invited to learn more about the town's emergency network during a panel discussion scheduled for next week.

According to the town website, New Canaan will host an emergency preparedness panel discussion Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. at the Lapham Community Center.

Panelists for the free event will include Emergency Management Director Russ Kimes, Police Chief John DiFederico, Fire Marshal Paul Payne, Fire Chief William Perritt, Director of Public Works Tiger Mann and EMS President Barbara Clayton.

Residents are invited to learn more about New Canaan's emergency network and how it can assist them in the event of an emergency with communication, pet care, medical conditions and equipment and other concerns, according to the website.

"Find out what to do, whom to call and how to plan for emergencies," the website reads.
