NEW CANAAN, CT — New Canaan voters will decide six questions about changes to the town charter on Nov. 3 and early voting at Town Hall begins Oct. 19.

1. 6 Charter Questions On The Nov. 3 Ballot

When: Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 3

Where: New Canaan Town Hall, 77 Main St.

What to know: Voters will answer six yes-or-no questions on Town Charter changes approved by the Town Council, according to the town. Printed copies of the Charter Revision Commission's final report are at the library, the Lapham Community Center and the town clerk's office. More information here.

2. Early Voting Starts Oct. 19 At Town Hall

When: Early voting Oct. 19-Nov. 1; Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3

Where: New Canaan Town Hall, 77 Main St.

What to know: Early voting runs Oct. 19 through Nov. 1 at Town Hall, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with hours extended to 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Oct. 27 and Oct. 29, according to the town. Absentee ballots have been available from the town clerk since Oct. 2. More information here.

3. Wetlands Panel Visits Turtle Back Lane West

When: Wednesday, Oct. 14, 7:30 a.m., leaving from the parking lot behind Town Hall

Where: New Canaan Town Hall, 77 Main St.

What to know: The Inland Wetlands Commission will visit a Turtle Back Lane address, according to a notice. Members of the public may attend but must provide their own transportation. More information here.

4. Fire Commission Meets

When: Tuesday, Oct. 13, 5 p.m. (hybrid)

Where: Board Room, Town Hall, 77 Main St.

What to know: The Fire Commission will hear the fire marshal's and fire chief's reports and an Apparatus Committee report, according to the agenda. More information here.

When: Monday, Oct. 12

Where: New Canaan Town Hall, 77 Main St.

What to know: Town Hall is closed Monday, Oct. 12, according to the town calendar. More information here.
