Marcia "Marcie" Blaikie Blod, 81, died Sept. 24. She and her family made New Canaan their home in 1986 and she was involved with the New Canaan Garden Club.

Julia Paige Martocchio, 31, died Sept. 22. She moved to New Canaan at the age of 7, embraced every day and was a seasoned traveler.

Nicola D. "Niki" (Ruggiero) Ellis, 87, died Sept. 7. Born in Surrey, England, she was an accomplished swimmer as a teenager and married her husband, Brian, in 1960.
