New Canaan residents and businesses can learn about common scams at a free breakfast seminar Wednesday, Nov. 18, from 8 to 9 a.m. The New Canaan Chamber of Commerce announced the program, which it is hosting with the New Canaan Police Department in the Tate Room at New Canaan Library.
The seminar, titled "Identifying Common Scams and Fraud Techniques," will cover scams targeting both individuals and businesses, according to the chamber. It will include specific examples from cases worked on by the Police Department's Investigations Section, along with time for attendees' questions.
Attendees can register online and are encouraged to bring questions. The registration form requires a name and email address, with a field for a business name if applicable.
