Real Estate Award Breakfast Honors Randy Salvatore

Randy Salvatore, Founder & President, RMS Companies, was honored at the March of Dimes 2011 Real Estate Award Breakfast for his outstanding commercial real estate efforts and commitment to the Greater Stamford community. The 16th annual breakfast, held at the Stamford Hilton, hosted 750 attendees from the real estate and nonprofit communities raising approximately $414,000 to benefit the March of Dimes.

The event began with a warm welcome given by Ed Tonnessen of Jones, Lang LeSalle, Inc., the 2011 Real Estate Award Committee Chairman, and was followed by 11-year-old Alex Breitenbach, who gave a riveting account of his own family’s experiences after he was born more than two months premature. As a result of his premature birth, Alex has overcome a number of hurdles and has received numerous lifesaving treatments, many of which were the direct result of March of Dimes research. Today, Alex is a bright, young man who plays older brother to sister, Ella. Also born prematurely, Ella was only six weeks early because of incredible medical advances, supported by March of Dimes.

“It was such an honor and pleasure to be able to gather the community to help families like the Breitenbach’s,” Salvatore said. “My experience with the March of Dimes today and over the many years has truly changed my perspective on priorities and how important it is to support the community. As a father of four children, I can only imagine what families like the Breitenbach’s have gone through and fortunately there are organizations like the March of Dimes which make such a difference.”
